Souking ... Al Ansaar Souk

A mega event of sorts that takes place annually at the Durban Exhibition Centre.

I wouldn't call it an event not to be missed but if you are looking to attend a giant flea market under one-roof (minus the bargains) then the Al Ansaar Souk is one of the two events you need to attend. The other being Dubai Souk.

Possibly just over 200-300 local and international traders and food vendors, cooking demos, nasheed performances and a fun-fair all for your shopping and entertainment pleasure. The event also acts as a meeting ground for many friends and families.

The front half of the hall's layout has been transformed into a maze that is highly confusing to say the least. the back section with it's straight aisles is much better to walk through.

Alot of the stalls are same-old. Many old faces still there, some new faces have arrived.

It's a great space to spend the day, shopping, savouring the delights from the many eateries and enjoying amazing shows by resident nasheed group Waheed.
